Ek Balam is a Mayan name that translates as "bright star jaguar." Its most important cultural period was during the Late Classic Period (700-1000 AD). What makes Ek Balam special is the architecture and design of the temple, which we can still climb.
To conclude the visit, we'll cool off in an incredible freshwater cenote and enjoy a delicious buffet of typical regional food.
